About the Club
For over 100 years, the Tupper Lake Sportsmen’s Club has stood as a pillar of outdoor tradition, community service, and Adirondack heritage. Originally founded in 1925 by Dr. Glenwood DeLisser and a small group of dedicated locals, the Club has grown into a thriving, all-volunteer nonprofit organization supporting hunters, anglers, archers, and outdoor enthusiasts of every kind.
From its historic Works Progress Association-built log clubhouse overlooking Lake Simond Road, the Club now spans an impressive array of facilities—including rifle range, indoor pistol range, a modern, heated, indoor archery complex, and an all-season skeet shooting field. Year after year, members of all ages gather here not only to enjoy the outdoors, but to support meaningful causes, educate the next generation, and celebrate the camaraderie that comes from time well spent in nature.
The Club proudly hosts events like the Northern Challenge Ice Fishing Derby and the Mountain Challenge Archery Shoot, while offering youth archery programs, hunter education, and generous support to veterans and first responders. Whether you're a lifelong sportsman, a new member, or just curious, you'll find a warm welcome and a strong community at the Tupper Lake Sportsmen’s Club.
