Now in its 32nd year, the Mountain Challenge Archery Shoot is one of the region’s most anticipated summer events—bringing together archers of all ages and skill levels for a weekend of outdoor fun, friendly competition, and community spirit.
Set in the beautiful woods alongside Lake Simond in Tupper Lake, NY, the event features:
Two full 3D courses with 30 life-sized targets each, designed to challenge and entertain in a realistic, wooded environment
Novelty shoots that are as fun as they are unpredictable
Classes for everyone, from traditional bows to modern compound setups
Free lakeside camping (primitive—no hook-ups) for those looking to make a weekend of it
Club kitchen open for lunches both days
Evening campfire to unwind, share stories, and enjoy the company of fellow archers
This is a fun, friendly event for the whole family, hosted by the Tupper Lake Sportsmen’s Club, with a long tradition of welcoming newcomers, supporting youth involvement, and celebrating the great outdoors.
